Puente Nuevo built between 1751 and 1793 and 98 meters high has become the symbol and soul of the city. Built in stone blocks extracted from the bottom of the Tajo gorge, it allowed the connection of the modern neighborhood with the old quarter of the city and made possible the urban expansion of the city. Without a doubt it is one of the most impressive monuments in Andalusia.
